The Travellers Rest is a long established Public House, currently a family owned Country Inn situated at Brough Lane Head, Brough, in the centre of the Hope Valley in the heart of the Peak District. It has recently undergone refurbishment and now has five well appointed rooms, all with en suite and stunning countryside views. It is only 1 mile from Hope and Bradwell where there are shops and a Post Office and 3 miles from Hathersage and Castleton at the junction of the A6187 and B6049. Hope railway station is a 10 minute walk and there are three bus stops right outside the pub for easy access around the Valley. The pub is open every day of the week, with bar meals and light lunches served in the day, with a more extensive menu in the evenings. There is a large car park, a large beautifully laid out garden with seating and heaters and a safe children's play area. There is a payphone in the main bar.
