about the trade stands or the show in general
When Agricultural Shows first started in the mid-eighteen hundreds, they provided not only the opportunity for farmers to show off their stock and skills, but a day out for all the family.
And so a market grew up along side the show allowing competitors and spectators alike to browse and purchase all manner of wares.
Indeed they became the very first “out-of-town” shopping centres.!

To-day that tradition continues and is very much part of our Show at Hope.
We have about 80 sites available and the range of goods on for sale is extensive,
ranging from cars to a needle, a duster to a bed-sheet.
Enough to keep our 8,000 or more visitors happily occupied for many hours.

If you would like to apply for a site please read the regulations below:-

REGULATIONS GOVERNING TRADE STANDS

 Traders must adhere to the size of site ordered
 Electricity is not available, please let the Society know if you want to bring a generator
 All rubbish must be cleared by the site holder prior to leaving the Showground
 Applications will not be accepted without the fee and appropriate documentation
 In the event of any dispute the Society reserves the right not to offer a site in the future

and then:-

 Read the Show’s Safety Policy
 Print out and complete the Site Order Form
                                    and Vehicle Registration
                                    and Risk Assessment
 Send all the documentation and cheque to the address
shown on the Site Order form.

We will then confirm your booking and receipt your payment.
If you come, we wish you a very good day’s trading.
