LIVESTOCK ENTRIES & BLUE TONGUE

Current DEFRA movement conditions mean that animals can be moved between premises WITHIN the same zone without having to comply with especial Bluetongue movement conditions.

However, DEFRA Animal Health advise that due to the standstill conditions which apply to movements BETWEEN zones, it is impractical for livestock exhibitors from outside the showground zone to bring animals to the show and get them home.

The showground is presently in a surveillance zone. By show day, this may have changed to a protection zone.

Provisional entries will be accepted from farmers whose premises lie within the protection and surveillance zones. These will be reviewed on Monday the 18th of August.

In the event, the showground is still within the surveillance zone, and therefore farmers from within the protection zone will not be able to enter, their entry fee will be returned.

Exhibitors whose farms are in Derbyshire will be in the same zone as the showground in any of the possible circumstances.
