By rail

 

The Hope Valley Line runs

between Sheffield and Manchester.

 

Hope Station is half a mile from Aston Cottages  and a pretty footpath runs directly down  to the station.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

By road

 

The A6187 (formerly the A625) runs from Hathersage to Castleton with Hope about midway between. Aston Lane is on the right, just as you enter Hope coming from Hathersage. The Dimings is at the top of the lane and is well sign posted.

 

 

 

 

 

By air

 

Manchester airport is about 25 miles away and takes about 1 hour by taxi (easily booked locally).
